This facilities Management Company have become a very successful player in the Asset Management / Building Maintenance and Building refurbishment industries.
They now engage over 160 staff across Australia.
They undertake a range of capital upgrade projects and building repair services across Australian and New Zealand. (EG Homeowners warranty rectification works / Insurance Repairs /Knock Down and rebuilds etc.).
They have recently secured a new project in the Shoalhaven / Shellharbour / Kiama / Gerringong / Port Kembla area on NSW.
It is the rectification of defective building works in Occupied Housing estates in this area (IE Waterproofing / balcony repairs / Brickwork repairs etc.).
The work has already commenced on site and is expected to run for at least 12 months.
Reporting to a visiting Project Manager – our client is now looking for an experienced Building Supervisor who can manage multiple sites across the Shoalhaven area.
Daily duties will include:
- Site Inspection and development of scope of works, estimating material and labour costs.
- Liaise with client, owners and contractors to complete repairs (insurance).
- Provide common sense and cost-effective approach to make safes after initial event/incident prior to commencement of approved scopes of works.
- Managing projects with multiple trades and completing reports on behalf of insurance companies.
The person we are looking for must have:
- At least five years’ experience in managing multiple projects across NSW in the value range of $1k to $500K.
- Trade background.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to get on with people as you will be dealing with clients and internal staff.
- Real leadership skills – you will come with lots of respect from your colleagues.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- Current drivers licence.
- Exceptional organisational skills in terms of Planning / Programming /Conflict resolution / problem solving etc.
- A strong history in Programmed Maintenance Services.
- A valid Police check. (Including working with children and working with vulnerable people clearance)
- A current first aid certificate.
- Own reliable transport essential.
A competitive daily rate will be paid on a weekly basis to the successful applicant.
