Vince Melican

Construction Careers was formed By Vince Melican in 2002.

Vince entered Sydneys' Construction recruitment market in 1996 and specialises in professional contract and permanent appointments to the Construction, Property and engineering industries. (Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Electrical / Environmental) As well as managing recruitment for most of Sydney's major property and construction companies, Vince has also successfully managed engineering recruitment for some major FMCG/Pharmaceutical/Hi-Tech manufacturing organisations.
He worked for Two Top Executive Recruiters, namely www.calibrate.com.au and www.technicalfocus.com.au for six and two years respectively and still maintains a strong relationship with both these companies.

Prior to 1996, Vince gained 15 years project management experience with Willmot Dixons, Jarvis and Mullaley's in the UK based construction and engineering industry. He liaised with clients from both public and private sectors under various contractual arrangements. Notable clients included British Telecom, London Underground, British Rail, Thames Water Authority, British Broadcasting Corporation, Thames Valley Police, and HM Prison Authorities.

David Sanmiquel

Joined the team at Construction Careers early in July 2006 bringing to the firm over 5 years worth of industry civil engineering and construction experience. Being a degree qualified civil engineer in the industry he brings industry knowledge and understands both the clients and candidates expectations in the areas of Civil / Structural / Project / Management engineering.

David has proven capabilities in the civil engineering industry working with some of the larger contractors of Australia and possesses a great acumen for the recruiting industry as well. He brings a very technical oriented approach to recruitment understanding both the roles and prerequisites required by the clients.

As a former project engineer he utilizes his skills to problem solve the needs of clients to deliver the best solution in all areas of engineering discipline (i.e. Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and other specialty engineering facets of the current marketplace).

David has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with 2nd Class honors from the University Of New South Wales which clearly demonstrates his ability to satisfy the client’s need in the industry. He will be attending to all your specialist needs in the construction and engineering appointments domain that you might require.

Teresa Domingo

Teresa has over 10 years accounts/administration experience in a small business environment.
Teresa manages all aspects of our accounts including payables / receivables and all aspects of our contracting business including payroll and contractor queries.

Teresa is a key person in our highly valued consulting support team and is involved in meeting and greeting candidates in person and by telephone, looking after a wide scope of the recruitment/contracting administration duties as well as acts as support to the consultants.

Craig Beechey

Manufacturing Specialist

Craig joined the team at Construction Careers in July 2008 bringing with him 30 years of manufacturing experience. From a trade background in Toolmaking and CNC Programming, Craig went on to provide turn-key manufacturing solutions to the high-end industry sectors including aerospace, defence, medical, automotive, mining, marine, toolmaking and precision engineering.

Craig has held high-level positions both in industry and with trade bodies and was voted Chairman of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers in 1994 where he represented Australia at the International Manufacturing Conference in Dearborn, USA. He has also owned and operated his own Product Development business employing designers and engineers and has been responsible for the introduction of many innovative products and technologies into the Australian market.

Craig has an innate understanding of engineering principals and processes and the manufacturing supply chain, bringing this knowledge to the table when sourcing recruitment needs for his clients. He has already developed an enviable reputation within the industry for his ability to match specific skill sets to client’s unique requirements, consistently providing high quality candidates. He not only relies on advertising to source potential candidates but draws upon an extensive range of networks and contacts within the manufacturing industry.
